The 10mm silicon sheet for gilding presses is a versatile tool used in the art of gilding. Made from high-quality silicon material, this sheet offers exceptional heat resistance and durability. It is designed to be compatible with gilding presses and acts as a protective layer between the heated press and the delicate gilding material. The 10mm thickness provides ample cushioning and even pressure distribution, ensuring precise and consistent gilding results. With its smooth surface, it allows for effortless gliding and adherence of the gold leaf or other gilding materials onto various surfaces. The 10mm silicon sheet is a valuable accessory for gilding enthusiasts, providing them with the necessary support for achieving beautiful and professional gilded finishes.
1. Basic information
Requirements for bronzing silicone plate: High temperature resistance 300-400°C, hardness requirements can be determined according to the requirements of customers’ printing patterns. Generally, the hardness is 30A°, 40A°, 50A°, 60A°, 70A°, 80A°, 90A°, etc.
Hot stamping silicone plate is a matching product for hot stamping equipment. It uses a silicone plate as a heat carrier to transfer exquisite patterns to the product. The colors are red, orange, white and black. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance 300-400 ℃, high pressure resistance, high thermal conductivity, good elasticity and high temperature resistance.
It is mainly used in hot stamping fields such as wine bottle caps, plastic discs, plastic cups, cosmetic boxes and other plastic parts and hardware parts. The hot stamping silicone plate plays the role of heat transfer, and the hot stamping paper is printed on the object to be hot stamped through the heat transfer of this product.
4. How to use
Prepare your gilding material: Whether it’s gold leaf, foil, or another gilding material, ensure it is properly cut and ready for application.
Set up your gilding press: Place the gilding press on a stable surface and ensure it is securely tightened.
Position the silicon sheet: Lay the sheet on top of the heated platen of the gilding press. Ensure it covers the entire area where you’ll be applying the gilding material.
Heat the gilding press: Turn on the gilding press and allow it to reach the desired temperature. The recommended temperature will vary depending on the type of gilding material used.
Apply the gilding material: Place the prepared gilding material onto the silicon sheet, ensuring it aligns with your desired area of application.
Close the gilding press: Lower the press onto the gilding material and apply even pressure for the recommended duration. This will vary depending on the type of gilding material and desired effect.
Lift the gilding press: Once the recommended duration has passed, carefully lift the press to reveal your gilded design.
Remove excess material: Gently remove any excess gilding material or residue from the silicon sheet, taking care not to damage the finished gilded surface.
Clean and store the silicon sheet: After use, clean the silicon sheet with a soft cloth or mild soap and water. Ensure it is completely dry before storing it in a clean and dry location.
There are two types of hot stamping boards: one is made of silicone and aluminum boards pasted together; the other is without aluminum boards, and only silicon is used to produce sheets.
